Job Hiring Fair in Apopka Thursday, Oct. 21; offers and bonuses 'will be made' to most qualified candidates

Orange County Public Works Department (OCPW) is hosting a Job Hiring Fair tomorrow, Thursday, October 21 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.. This event will take place at the Apopka Maintenance Unit (3248 Clarcona Road, Apopka FL 32703).

There are several positions OCPW wants to fill, with posting rates of pay ranging from $15.61/hour to $30.19/hour, depending on the position. Needed positions include:

  • Maintenance Person
  • Equipment Operator I
  • Equipment Operator II
  • Equipment Operator III
  • Equipment Operator IV
  • Highway Utility Repair Person
  • Mason

Bonuses and Benefits

Offers will be made tomorrow to the most qualified candidates, and a $500 sign up bonus will be provided to persons selected who already have their CDL. This bonus will be paid to employees after 90 days from Date of Hire.
