OCPS approves high school start time survey

Orange County School Board reviews high school start time survey questions

During the school board work session yesterday, board members reviewed the proposed high school start time survey questions. School board members made several suggested changes to the survey for transparency with the public. The survey does include three models for school start times.

The next step is to open the survey window and distribute a revised survey to school and community stakeholders. Board members will review the survey results at a future board meeting to be determined.

Here are the current bell times:

• High School 7:10 – 7:30 a.m. 1:45 – 2:30 p.m.
• Elementary School 8:00 – 8:45 a.m. 2:15 – 3:00 p.m.
• Middle School 9:30 a.m. 3:50 – 4:06 p.m.
