Mullinax Ford signs on for Juniper Bend project

Habitat for Humanity of Seminole County & Greater Apopka is pleased to welcome Mullinax Ford as a house sponsor for its Juniper Bend project in Apopka, FL. President Jerry Mullinax, signing the agreement for their sponsorship with the affiliate said, "It is part of the Mullinax Ford brand to be active in the community. We are excited to partner with Habitat for Humanity and give back to our community as a company."

Juniper Bend, a 24 home community, will be the largest single undertaking by Habitat for Humanity of Seminole-Apopka since its inception more than 25 years ago. Located in an already established neighborhood, Juniper Bend and will represent new beginnings in the community previously known as Hawthorne Village.

“Homeownership creates generational change for both the families and the community,” said Penny Seater, Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka. “A project of this size will have a significant impact for Apopka. We are very excited to have Mullinax Ford joining us to make this project a reality”.

In addition to providing the funding for one of the townhomes, Mullinax Ford employees will regularly volunteer their time on the construction site, logging in more than 200 hours of time.

Habitat for Humanity of Seminole County and Greater Apopka has completed more than 165 homes throughout the community. Through the use of donations, in-kind gifts and volunteer labor, Habitat builds simple, decent, efficient homes which are sold to low-income families in the community at no profit and financed with an affordable mortgage. Homebuyers contribute sweat equity helping to build their home as well as homes of other Habitat families.
