At Apopka High School, Robinson was a key factor in leading the Blue Darters to their second state title in three seasons as a senior, notching two hurries and a sack in the state title game. He also helped Apopka to a state championship as a sophomore in 2012. In 2014, he won the Merit Scholar Award for his performance in the classroom.

According to the Charleston Southern Bucs online media guide, Robinson came into his own in his junior year, as 6'2" 245lb. defensive tackle dominated the middle of the line of scrimmage for CSU in 2017.

Also in 2017, the Bucs finished 6-5 overall, and 3-2 in the Big South Conference, including a 20-19 victory over Liberty University in the season finale. The Bucs open this season against the Florida Gators in Gainesville on September 1st.
