Florida gas prices drop four cents last week

Florida gas prices dropped four cents last week. The state average has declined the past 10 consecutive days for a total of 7 cents.

"Florida drivers are paying 18 cents per gallon less than this time last year," said Matt Nasworthy, Florida Public Affairs Director, AAA - The Auto Club Group. "A massive build in crude inventories and declining demand helped keep crude prices steady, while wholesale gasoline prices moved lower late last week.

Florida drivers are paying an average of $2.40 per gallon at the pump. Florida's state average is the 13th-lowest in the U.S. Louisiana has the lowest state average ($2.23).

Most expensive metro markets – West Palm Beach ($2.52), Panama City ($2.51), Gainesville ($2.46)

Least expensive metro markets – Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater ($2.34), Orlando ($2.34), Jacksonville ($2.35)
