Central Florida Police Benevolent Association endorses Byrd for District 2 County Commissioner

Political newcomer Mark Byrd has received the endorsement of the Central Florida Police Benevolent Association (CFPBA) for Orange County Commissioner for District 2. The district includes the major areas of Apopka, Ocoee, Tangerine, Clarcona, Pine Hills, Eatonville, and Rosemont.

“As someone new to the political arena, I am very proud and humbled by this endorsement, and that the PBA will encourage their members, friends, families and all citizens of the district to support me, said Byrd.

The CFPBA is a charter member of the Florida Police Benevolent Association, Inc. (PBA) which was established in 1972 and is a politically proactive labor organization that represents law enforcement officers in negotiations for wages, benefits, and terms of their employment.

Byrd, an Apopka nursery owner and a candidate for the Orange County Commission District 2, recently qualified by petition to be on the ballot.
