Breaking News: Apopka Fire Department responds to reported Rock Springs Ridge fire

The Apopka Fire Department responded with firefighters from multiple stations (#1, #2, and #5) to a reported house fire in the Rock Springs Ridge subdivision.

Lightning struck a PVC vinyl fence between two homes causing damage to phone and cable lines of both homes, but there was no fire at either.

Firefighters from the recently opened Fire Station #5 arrived within three minutes of the initial alarm utilizing the newly constructed Brush Drive entrance off of Jason Dwelley Parkway, built primarily for emergency responses such as these.
