News from the Apopka Election Polling Place:

Apopka Election475 voters turned out before 10:00 AM on a beautiful early morning to cast their ballots in the 2016 Run-off Apopka Election for City Commission elections for Seats #3 and #4.

The line at 7:00 AM reached to the corner of the Apopka Community Center/VFW.

After the initial rush, traffic was steady. There are nine voting stations inside the VFW, and two printers on-site in case there is a ballot-shortage issue.

DSC_0713Bill Cowles, Orange County Supervisor of Elections, was also present to make certain there were no glitches in the system.

Only 31 people voted early at The Orange County Elections Office, but 2,397 voted by mail. At the current pace, the total turnout for the two runoffs would be 4,330.

All four candidates are on-site waving to voters as they enter the VFW:
