By Charles Towne

Dear God, Please help us to never stop laughing.

Help us to remember that tomorrow is always fresh.  Help us to dream big dreams, take huge risks, live dangerously, swim in the deep water, and to meet people crazier than we are.

Father, help us to seek new challenges, challenge new thought, and to never be satisfied with the mundane or common.  Help us to never give up, yield our principles, or surrender what we know to be right or fail to admit when we are wrong, and Father, help us to not only admit when we are wrong but to say, “I am sorry”, and mean it.

Lord, please help us to remember that it is never too late to make a new friend, to learn a new skill, or to change our mind.  O’ Holy God, help us to remember that this is a day that you have made, that we all need encouragement, a smile, a, “thank you”, and to know that we are appreciated and valued.  Help us to always trust you, to rely on your word, to celebrate you as our God… and above all to lean on you more with each passing day.  Help each of us to love you more with each passing day, and above all else to lean on you, knowing, believing, trusting, that you have given all for us, your children.

Thank you Father, thank you O Holy One, praise you our Divine friend, praise you in all the earth for you and you alone are worthy.  In the blessed name of  Jesus the Messiah, I ask this, Amen

Charles Towne is first and foremost a Christian. An octogenarian, author, journalist, wildlife photographer, naturalist, caregiver, and survivor, his life has been and continues to be, a never-ending adventure filled with possibilities never imagined. He has adopted the philosophy that to Live fully, laugh uproariously, love passionately, and learn like there is no tomorrow, is a formula for a long and joy-filled life.

  1. Short and sweet. A good prayer and code for living. I must say however that knowing your background with big cats, snakes, bears, etc. I think I have satisfied the need to meet someone crazier than me. Just sayin…

  2. Dear Mike ol’ buddy, are you somehow implying that a certain acquaintance of yours just might be a little bonkers? To be perfectly honest with you there is a certain comfortable contentment with being just a tad crazy. Just a tad mind you. Just sayin.. Chaz

  3. Herbert, it has been said that “true prayer is communication with God as a friend.” I like that, because as close as human friends can be, we can have even a closer relationship with Papa God if we want it, but that is the thing, we have to want it. Blessings my friend. Chaz

  4. Dear NH, have you ever read the book by Norman Couzins- “Anatomy of an Illness”? Small book, large delivery! Blessings on you and yours, Chaz

  5. Wonderful prayer Chuck!
Every morning my husband would say “This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.” Laughter is so beneficial, even the Lord tells us numerous times the benefits. It is a wonderful way to share with others, lighten and brighten their day. Yes, Lord, keep my mind focused on you and show me ways to help others.
If I can accomplish that, then everyday I can be a blessing to

  7. Dear EJ, Yes, yes, yes! Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly!!! Always good to live by pall. Chaz

  8. Hey Don my good friend, as you and I know full well, that is something to remember and to live by; God has a plan!!! Chaz
