Target Recalls Halloween LED Gel Clings Due to Choking and Button Battery Ingestion Hazards

If you have done some Halloween shopping at Target, be sure to double check what you bought.

Target is recalling 127,000 LED Gel Clings because of choking and button battery consumption hazards.

According to the CPSC the clings can separate and show their LED/button battery compartment which children can then eat.

If you have bought the LED clings, then Target suggests you should immediately remove the clings from areas that children can reach and return them to any Target store for a full refund.

The recall involves six different Halloween-themed LED gel clings that come with two non-replaceable button cell batteries. The clings are for window use only and light up with a blinking light when you push on them. The six different gel cling designs are a green skeleton, pink skeleton, purple spider, black cat, orange pumpkin, and black bat. Model number 234-25-0904 is printed on the gel cling’s packaging.

The recalled gel clings were sold exclusively at Target stores nationwide from August 2016 through September 2016 for about $1.

No injuries have been reported.
