Coverage by other media outlets have lead to much confusion regarding the shootings that took place earlier this week.
The Apopka Voice has reported on both incidents and created the above map to help our readers understand where each incident happened.
On Sunday morning, 12/27 there was an exchange of gunfire in Apopka on the 500 block of East Mason. The details can be found in our story here: UPDATE: East Mason Shooting
On Monday morning, 12/28 there was a drive-by shooting in Orange County at 15th Street and Clarcona Road. The details of that incident can be read here: Multiple Shots Fired in South Apopka
The Apopka Police Department and the Orange County Sheriff's Office have both indicated the two incidents are unrelated. The Joint Homicide Investigation Team is actively investigating the East Mason shooting. We will update our story as more details become available.
