Candidates for City Council Elections Set

The deadline to qualify for the Apopka City Council Election (Seats 3 and 4) ended today at noon. There are 6 candidates vying for the two seats:

The three candidates for Seat 3 are:

Sam Ruth (incumbent)

Doug Bankson, Senior Pastor at Victory Church.

Alice Nolan, a stay at home mother of 3.

The Candidates for Seat 4 are:

Bill Arrowsmith (incumbent)

Kyle Becker, a senior level business analyst.

Young Kim, the owner of All-American Furniture Store.

Early voting is from February 29, 2016 – March 13, 2016

Precincts and times designated by Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office

VOTER REGISTRATIONS: Voters not registered may obtain Voter Registration Application forms at City Hall between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, weekdays or from the Orange County Supervisor of Elections. The last day to register prior to the election will be Monday, February 16, 2016, 5:00 PM. Thereafter, the registration books will be closed.

ABSENTEE BALLOTS: Absentee ballots are estimated to be available Tuesday, February 9, 2016. All absentee ballot requests should be directed to the Orange County Supervisor of Elections office at 407- 836-2070.

The election will be held on March 15^th, 2016.

In the event of a Run-off Election (April 12, 2016), all voting will take place at:

Precinct #9104 - Apopka Community Center and VFW Post #10147 - 519 South Central Avenue.

Winners will take office April 26, 2016 at noon.
