2016 Ryder Cup - Day One Summary

Posted

The United States dominated the morning session at the 2016 Ryder Cup.

The 41st Ryder Cup is being played at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota. The Ryder Cup format features 12-member teams representing the United States and Europe in three days of match-play competition.

The United States got off to a fast start by winning all four moring matches. This was the first time the United States won the first four matches in 35 years.

But the joy was short-lived as the Europeans came back in the afternoon session and won 3 of the 4 matches to bring the Day One score to 5-3.

Both teams will feel very confident going into Saturday's team play.
