Rotary Club of Apopka Scholarship Deadline Nearing

Rotary Club of Apopka offers 4-$1,000 Scholarships

The Rotary Club of Apopka Scholarship provides financial assistance to an Apopka High School or Wekiva High School senior who plans to attend a College, University or Technical School.

All applications must be received by May 1, 2016.

Scholarship Requirements:

• Must be a citizen of the United States or Legal Resident.
• Must be a senior and living in the Apopka area.
• Must attend a College, University or Technical School.
• Must provide two letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors, administrators, or business leaders.
• Must write an essay of not more than 300 words explaining the applicant's understanding of the Rotary Four Way Test and how the applicant has incorporated it into their life.
• Must list any leadership positions or participations in church, community or volunteer organizations.
• Must provide a list of all awards received.
• Must provide a fully completed Rotary Club of Apopka Scholarship Application Form.
• Must have a Grade Point Average of at least 2.5

Applications can be downloaded from the Rotary Club of Apopka's website and should be mailed to PO Box 7, Apopka, FL 32704. The deadline is May 1, 2016.

Individuals selected will be notified by email not later than May 15, 2016 and will have 14 days to acknowledge receipt. Recipients will be invited, and must attend, as guests a weekly meeting that is held on Thursdays with the Rotary Club of Apopka to formally accept the scholarship.

The scholarship will be awarded directly to the student's school. Enrollment will be verified.
