According to OpenTable, eating local isn’t just about ingredients; it’s also about the restaurant in the community that make you feel special time and again. Their Top 100 Neighborhood Gems list honors the welcoming spots at which diners celebrate both the everyday and the exceptional.

An Apopka restaurant was recently added to OpenTable's Top 100 Neighborhood Gem Restaurants in America.

Now four-years-old, The Back Room Steakhouse was chosen after OpenTable analyzed more than five million reviews of nearly 19,000 restaurants across the country – all submitted by verified diners.

restaurantThe Back Room Steakhouse features aged Black Angus steaks including boneless Rib eye, Porterhouse, New York Strip, and Center Cut Filet. They also prepare fresh seafood dishes like Chilean Sea Bass and North Atlantic Salmon. In Sunday's they feature a Prime Rib Dinner.

The restaurant is locally owned and operated by Edward Conlan, who also owns Beef 'O' Brady's Apopka.

The Back Room Steakhouse is quite popular and it is sometimes hard to find a table, particularly on short notice. But that will all soon. In June Conlan signed a lease that will double the restaurant's space.

The restaurant's expansion progress is being chronicled on The Back Room Steakhouse's Facebook Page.

The Back Room Steakhouse is located at 1418 Rock Springs Road, in the shopping center once anchored by Albertson's. Next to Beef 'O' Brady's.
