Breaking: Orange County Library in Apopka evacuated

From the Orange County Sheriff's Office

At 4:54 p.m., deputies responded to the Orange County Public Library at 1211 E. Semoran Blvd. in reference to a male with a note. The subject had a note reading “bomb”. The library was evacuated. The male is in custody and Hazardous Device Team is clearing the building and a suspicious package at the scene.

Officials on the scene at the North Orange Branch Library in Apopka evacuated the building this evening due to a man with a note threatening he had a bomb.

The library is located at 1211 Semoran Boulevard (SR 436).
