Orange County Clerk offers affordable and elegant wedding alternative

Posted

Engaged? Ready to take the plunge? Consider saying “I do” with the Orange County Clerk of Courts

Summer is one of the most popular times for couples to walk down the aisle, but with weddings in the United States costing an average of more than $30,000, you may be looking for a more affordable way to “tie the knot.” For the cost of a marriage license and $30.00 for a ceremony, couples can take their vows in one of our spectacular ceremony rooms.

At the Orange County Courthouse, our newly renovated ceremony room has pillars and candles to create a romantic backdrop as each couple takes their vows during a simple and elegant ceremony. The hardwood floored room also has modern chairs for family and friends in attendance.

Ceremony rooms are also present at our following branch locations:

  • Apopka branch: 1111 North Rock Springs Rd.
  • Ocoee branch: 475 West Story Rd.
  • Winter Park branch: 450 North Lakemont Ave.

At our branch location on Goldenrod Road, couples may choose to be married by a deputy clerk at one of our counters.

If you are planning to get married with the Orange County Clerk of Courts, and have not taken a premarital preparation course, you must apply for a marriage license three days prior to your wedding ceremony. The cost for a marriage license is $86.00. Bring printed proof that you have completed a premarital preparation course, and that fee can be reduced to $61.00.

Services can be provided on a walk-in basis or by appointment. For more information on the marriage license application process, required documents, our ceremony rooms and more, please visit our website at www.myorangeclerk.com.
