National Night Out comes to Apopka tonight

The Apopka Police Department and the Rock Springs Ridge community will celebrate the 34th annual National Night Out beginning tonight at 6 p.m. outside of Taverna Italiano restaurant, 625 Rock Ridge Boulevard.

Enjoy a free, fun evening with food and treats, music, police demonstrations, a bounce house and more. Also joining activities will be Apopka Crossfit and ADT.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
