Reward raised to $125,000

Orlando police Chief John Mina held a brief news conference Tuesday and announced two significant details in the manhunt for Markeith Loyd.

Orlando police received a tip that Loyd may have altered his appearance. Here are three photos of his possible look today.

“We have received a tip that he (Loyd) may have changed his appearance or may have shaved his head,” Mina said.

Mina also said officials altered a photograph after receiving a tip that Loyd might have changed his appearance after the January 9th shooting outside of the Walmart on Princeton Street in Orlando in which Loyd shot and killed OPD Lieutenant Debra Clayton.

It was also announced that Crimeline has received over 1,400 tips from the community, and the reward has been raised to $125,000.

This is the eighth day of the manhunt for Loyd, and Mina wants the community to know their motivation to find him has not wavered.

"We're talking about someone who gunned down a pregnant mother and an officer in broad daylight," Mina said. “We are actively looking for him. We are continuing to follow up on every single lead."

Loyd has also been added to the "15 most wanted list" of the US Marshals.

In addition to allegedly shooting and killing Clayton, Loyd is wanted for shooting and killing his pregnant ex-girlfriend Sade Dixon in December.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS. If your information leads to an arrest you may be eligible for a reward of up to $125,000.
