Guest Speaker for Prayer Breakfast Announced

The Apopka Christian Ministerial Alliance confirmed that Sammie Smith will be the Guest Speaker at the 2016 Apopka Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. It was also announced that the event would again be at The Apopka Community Center VFW Post 10147 at 519 South Central Avenue on May 5th. The event is scheduled to begin at 6:15am.

Tickets are $25 per person or $300 for a table of eight.

Smith, who grew up in Apopka and currently lives in Mount Dora, played football for Apopka High School, Florida State University (FSU), the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos. In 2013, he was inducted into the FSU Hall of Fame as one of the greatest running backs in the school’s history.

He is currently the Lake County area representative for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and owner of Kingdom Impact Sports in Mount Dora. The Prayer Breakfast is in conjunction with the 2016 National Day of Prayer.
