The Florida Chamber of Commerce announced several Central Florida candidates it is endorsing for the upcoming elections. Among them are two candidates that

are running in districts that include Apopka.

The Chamber endorsed Jennifer Sullivan in her re-election bid for State House District 31. It also backed Randolph Bracy in his State Senate District 11 campaign.

"We believe these candidates will put Florida's long-term future ahead of short-term fixes and will help ensure our state remains competitive," said Marian Johnson, Senior Vice President of Political Operations for the Florida Chamber of Commerce. "We are proud to support these candidates that we believe will help create jobs and economic opportunity in our state."

Bracy defeated Chuck O' Neal, Bob Sindler, and Gary Siplin in an August 30th Democrat Primary, and is now running unopposed in the November 8th election. Sullivan defeated Theo Bob in a Republican Primary on August 30th and now faces unaffiliated candidate Robert Rightmyer of Apopka in the November 8th election.

State House District 31 includes parts of Apopka and Lake County. State Senate District 11 includes parts of Orange County including Apopka.
