Errol Golf Course a hit on social media

If Apopka Social Media is any indication, the recent efforts by the current owner of Apopka Golf & Tennis at Errol Estate are paying off.

David Bass checked in on Facebook at Apopka Golf & Tennis at Errol Estate last week with this comment, "Course is in great shape. Better than it has looked in years! Has to be the best golfing value around. If you're looking to play around here it is fantastic."

John Hampton, one of David's playing partners add this comment; "Totally agree with David. Astonished by the vastly improved course conditions."

The Apopka Voice tracked down David Bass and asked if the conditions were consistent on the golf course. "Both the front and the back nines are in great shape," said Bass. "I was particularity impressed by the conditions of the sand traps. They were well edged. I know that that is a sign that a course is being well cared-for."

"Yes, we have been paying close attention to the traps," said Jimmy Dutcher, the Golf Course Superintendent at Errol.

Paul Fisher, the General Manager at Errol said this, "We have been directing a lot of resources towards the course for some time. Jimmy is doing a great job. Our reviews on GolfAdvisor.com have really improved. The other day a foursome left a note in the pro shop congratulating Jimmy on the course conditions."

Lynn Aubrey made these comments on her Facebook page earlier in July;

"I have to say, Apopka Golf & Tennis at Errol Estate is in the best course conditions in years! To all my golfing group friends, you should consider booking here and I'm sure they will give good rates.

It's not perfect yet but much better than a lot of other courses I have played lately, and the irrigation work has paid off. Now it's up to us to support and appreciate the work they are putting in!"
