Suspect arrested after standoff and charged with first-degree murder

The Orange County Sheriff's Office has been investigating the circumstances of a fatal shooting which occurred on Friday night in the Plymouth neighborhood.

Preliminary information indicates it was a dispute between cousins which resulted in the shooting.

The shooting at 3302 Warren Sapp Drive resulted in the death of Joshua Hagrin 17, the suspect was identified as Mike Matthew Gue, 25.

Investigators and deputies have been conducting follow-up interviews to determine his whereabouts throughout the weekend.

This afternoon at approximately 12:30 a tip was received and deputies responded to 1212 S. Binion Drive and surrounded the location in order to prevent any escape as deputies investigated his sighting.

Approximately 15 people were removed from the location, but Gue would not surrender and stayed hidden and barricaded inside the residence. For several hours deputies used a PA system and phone to make announcements and phone calls to get Gue to surrender, to no avail.

Tear gas was used to get the suspect to come out and when he would not SWAT entered the residence to take him into custody. After a long search, deputies were able to make an arrest without injury to anyone.

Gue has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder. He was transported to OCSO Operations for questioning and transported to the Orange County Jail.
