The winter months are lurking upon us and unfortunately, cold-weather fun can also carry some physical risks. From skiing, ice skating, and snowboarding, to simply shoveling snow, we tend to forget the injuries associated with these activities.

To help avoid winter injuries, Dr. Armin Tehrany, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and founder of Manhattan Orthopedic Care has outlined the most common injuries associated with the winter months in an infographic below.

Dr. Armin Tehrany is a top orthopedic surgeon and founder of Manhattan Orthopedic Care. Dr. Tehrany completed his undergraduate training through the Brooklyn College 7-year BA/MD program and received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. During that period, he worked with the team physicians for the New York Jets, New York Rangers, and New York Islanders.
