Commissioner Nelson to speak to Republican women

Orange County Commissioner Bryan Nelson will be the guest speaker for the Northwest Orange Republican Women, Federated on Thursday, March 23rd at 11:00. a.m.

Commissioner Nelson is a life-long Floridian and graduate of the University of Florida, where he earned his degree in Ornamental Horticulture. In 1997 he and his wife Debbie founded Nelson’s Insurance Services, which they continue to run today. In 2014 Nelson was elected to serve as County Commissioner for Orange County District 2 which includes Apopka, Ocoee, Eatonville, and Winter Park.

Commissioner Nelson will be addressing such topics as; the County Canvassing Board, Enterprise Florida and more. There will also be a question and answer period.

The County Canvassing Board is composed of the Supervisor of Elections, a county court judge, who shall act as chair, and a county commission member. The Canvassing board makes many decisions that affect our voting in Orange County.

The deadline for making reservations is on the Monday before the luncheon.

General Membership Meetings are at 11 AM on the third Thursday of the month at the Apopka Golf and Tennis at Errol Estate, 1355 Errol Parkway in

Apopka. There is a business meeting and program each month.
