Returns as house sponsor for Juniper Bend project

Habitat for Humanity of Seminole County & Greater Apopka is pleased to welcome back The Coca-Cola Company as a house sponsor for 2 homes at the Juniper Bend project in Apopka. Eric Bennett, General Manager, signing the agreement for their fifth sponsorship with the affiliate said “We really enjoy participating as a sponsor with Habitat. Our employees not only enjoy the opportunity to build but really getting to know the families they are helping; it makes us all feel good about making a difference”.

The project in South Apopka will become home to 24 families of the next few years. Qualified families participate in financial workshops as well as the construction of their home. Once complete, Habitat for Humanity will sell them the property with an affordable mortgage.

“Homeownership creates generational change for both the families and the community, said Penny Seater, and a project of this size will have a significant impact for Apopka. We are thrilled to have The Coca-Cola Company continue their investment in the Apopka community with this project”.

In addition to providing the funding for 2 of the homes, Coca-Cola employees will regularly volunteer their time on the construction site, logging in more than 400 hours of time.
