From the Orange County Clerk of Courts

The Orange County Clerk of Courts will be hosting a Clerks Care ThanksGIVING Hurricane Relief Drive to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.

Starting November 13th and ending November 21st, all 5 Clerk of Courts locations, including the courthouse, will be open for the public during normal business hours as a collection site for non-perishable food items, water, and toiletries.

Our community has faced challenges this year with the hurricane season. The desire to give back to those in need was expressed by many of the staff at the Clerk of Courts after Hurricane Irma affected our community and Hurricane Maria devastated people in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

“This Hurricane Season was a hard time for our community. Now that we are getting into the holiday season, I can’t help but think of families who continue to struggle to get back on their feet and this is a great way to help them,” said Orange County Clerk of Courts Tiffany Moore Russell.

The items collected will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank which is working to send items to affected area and help those in need who were displaced by the hurricanes.
