From tigernet.com

The University of Clemson has offered Apopka High School senior 4-star 2018 offensive tackle William Barnes a scholarship on Saturday according to his Twitter account. The Tigers won the College Football National Championship last season.

"Blessed to receive an official scholarship by Clemson University!!" Barnes posted on his twitter account.

Barnes is a consensus 4-star recruit by all the major recruiting services and has a TigerNet ranking of 4.50.

Last week, Barnes released his top seven schools that included Florida, North Carolina, Florida State, Ohio State, Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia. The Tarheels have one positive advantage for his recruitment as Barne's mom is a graduate from North Carolina.

He has national offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oregon, Rutgers, South Carolina, and UCLA.

Barnes will play his senior year for Apopka this season. The Blue Darters are coming off a 9-1 record in 2016.
