Christmas 2018

Christmas is almost here, but your Christmas spirit shouldn't have to wait for Christmas Eve. If you're just as excited for the holidays as the rest of us, check out these exciting Christmas events in Apopka and Orange County leading up to the big day!

Cookies and Milk with a Cop

Come join Apopka's finest at the Apopka Library on December 15 for cookies, milk, and story time! This free event is a fun opportunity for the young ones in your family to get involved in your local community and eat some yummy cookies supplied by the Apopka McDonalds.

This event runs from 11 a.m to noon. Contact the Apopka Library at (407) 835-7323 for more information.

Snow in the Park

The annual Snow in the Park event has officially been rescheduled from December 14 and 15 to December 21, but don't worry: to compensate for the delay, the event is offering extended hours between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m., giving you ample time to sled on the ice and build a snowman. This is a rare treat for Florida families, so don't miss out on this winter wonderland.

Come down to the City of Winter Park for a family-friendly affair where you can take pictures with Santa and his reindeer, enjoy festive airbrush tattoos, and warm your heart with our hot cocoa bar. For those of you who haven't enjoyed the frigid fun of real snow, this is the perfect time to grab your inner tube! While you're at it, you can even roast s'mores with our local Winter Park firefighters who work hard to stop fires year-round. Sooner than you expect, Christmas will be here, and Santa Claus will be shimmying down countless chimneys around the world. Avoid seeing our wonderful firefighters in your home by servicing your chimneys once a year by a professional, one that's not Kris Kringle.

The Story Of Scrooge

For those of you who love the arts, come down to see The Story Of Scrooge for free. This one-man Christmas carol is in town for one night only and will offer complimentary refreshments if you get there before 6 p.m. when the show begins. Come witness the history of Scrooge in this one-man show featuring the expertise of Paul Q-pek who will play more than 30 different characters!

This event will take place at the Willow Creek Church on East Lake Drive at 7 p.m., but don't forget to come early for free refreshments and a love offering.

When you want to get into the Christmas spirit, don't miss out on these wonderful, festive opportunities. Getting ready for the holidays is more than just decorating your home; it's about participating in the fun events around town.
