What began as a modest celebration to showcase the business and event district in the City of Altamonte Springs has grown into one of the leading entertainment and fireworks shows in the state.
The Red
At its core, Red Hot & Boom is a celebration of freedom, patriotism and a reminder of the true meaning of the holiday. It’s a gathering of 150,000 people decked out in red, white and blue, celebrating in a family-friendly atmosphere, enjoying music, food and an incredible fireworks show. For many families, Red Hot & Boom is an annual tradition where everyone can make memories, spend quality time with one another and celebrate the true spirit of America.
The Hot
The event hosts FREE family-friendly entertainment featuring internationally-known musical talent powered by XL 106.7 FM. The first act takes the stage at 4 p.m. and the music continues after the fireworks show.

The Boom
Red Hot & Boom is famous for its jaw-dropping fireworks – and this year is no different.
“We spend months planning our show and take pride in the fact that we put on a fireworks display that competes with any other in Florida,” said Jerry Sullivan, Director of Events for the City of Altamonte Springs. Guests will “ooh” and “ahh” during the 25-minute show, which features advanced pyrotechnics choreographed to both today’s hits and old favorites – all on the beautiful Cranes Roost Park waterfront.
The celebration starts at 4 p.m. An early arrival is suggested for people who want to stake out a prime spot. This is a rain or shine event; the show will go on even if Mother Nature is not cooperating.
