This morning at 7:20 a.m., Orange County deputies responded to a call in reference to an aggravated battery via shooting at the intersection of West 13th Street and South Hawthorne Avenue in South Apopka.
Witnesses saw a vehicle with multiple black male occupants shooting at the victim, a 17-year-old black male. The suspects are possibly known to the victim. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries from a gunshot wound but refused to cooperate with responding deputies or provide any suspect information.
The victim was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center in stable condition with family present.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
