Despite playing only one half of football last Friday night, the Apopka Blue Darters maintained its hold on the #2 position in the Spectrum Sports Central Florida High School Football rankings. Apopka led Miami Norland 14-6 at halftime when lightning delayed the game over two hours, and ultimately caused a postponement. No makeup date has been scheduled. The Blue Darters (1-0) play at Lakeland High School tonight against the Dreadnaughts (1-0).
The Wekiva Mustangs (2-0) took adavantage of its 49-0 blowout of Windermere High School and moved up one slot to #7 in the week 2 poll. The Mustangs travel to Winter Park to take on the Wildcats (2-0) in a rematch of last season's first round playoff matchup, which Winter Park won 30-21 and advanced.
