From The Apopka Police Department

The Apopka Police Department will contribute $1,500 to Crimeline of Central Florida during Saturday’s 2016 Public Safety Day.

The donation will help to solve law enforcement cases in the Apopka area through Crimeline’s successful system of posting rewards for anonymous tips that lead to arrests. In the past 12 months, Crimeline has solicited more than 10,000 tips throughout Central Florida, resulting in 581 arrests, 736 cleared cases and roughly $3 million in recovered drugs.

The police department will present a check to Crimeline at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Apopka Amphitheater – the location inside the Northwest Recreation Complex where Public Safety Day will be held.
