From Mrs. Hough of the Apopka High School Beta Club

AHS Beta takes Savannah

My students need transportation to Savannah for the Beta national Convention.

My Students

Our school has a population of over 3,400, sometimes it's easy to get lost in the shuffle. We have a diverse culture with over 54% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch. The students we are highlighting are the best and brightest in our school.

Our Beta club consists of 150 of the brightest and most talented students our high school has to offer.

These students must maintain a GPA of 3.5 as well as an untarnished behavior record.

My Project

Students in the Apopka High Beta Club will be given the opportunity to see the city of Savannah while meeting other students from around the country at this year's National Convention. At the convention, they will compete in various categories, from academics to arts and music.

Many of our students never get the chance to leave Apopka.

Not only will these students visit historic Savannah, but they will have the opportunity to highlight their academic, artistic and musical talents while competing against other schools in the nation. The students invited to this convention are the top three of their state.

We are in need of funds for our charter bus.
