Breaking News: 6-year-old boy riding bike hit and killed by motorist

A 6-year-old Apopka boy riding his bike on 10th Street in Apopka was hit by a motorist, and killed according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to the FHP report, a 50-year-old woman driving a SUV was traveling eastbound on 10th Street, and the boy was riding his bike northbound in a driveway. The boy entered the roadway and was struck by the vehicle.

The crash happened at 3:30 PM according to the report. No other details are known at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
